The CMA's 60th Conference EXPO

provided exhibitors opportunities to showcase their products and services to key museum personnel including directors, curators, and managers employed in museums, art galleries and cultural institutions across Canada.

The challenge was to develop a logo that could stand alone and had a look and feel that worked in conjunction with all CMA materials, particularly the existing CMA logo. We chose the strength of a simple square. The division of this square into four equal parts gives the viewer a sense of ‘looking into a window’. The definition of museum tells us that it is a place that holds knowledge. Take a peek!

Overlaying both of the CMA house fonts and dividing them up into a array of colour conveys the many facets of Canadian Museums and the excitement of the anniversary celebration. inconceptsdesign created celebratory flexible anniversary logos, integrated this in the existing logo, stationery, ads, programs, invitations and signage, all in both english and french.
