Project plan – Responsibility
We are passionate about aesthetic, functional, user-friendly design. And as such, we take ownership of our projects: we want you to achieve impressive results on time and on budget. Clear communication and shared objectives mean deadlines are met. Each project plan includes: contact information of project principals, all required materials and a summary of key objectives, time-lines including interim goals, details of any related subcontracts, production specifications, assignment of responsibilities, terms of reference, the budget, other outcomes, and any other relevant details.
Adherence to budgets – Predictability
We know that budgets need to be predictable, and given our years of experience, we try to make our estimates as accurate as possible. Sometimes, when crunch time hits, unforeseen additional costs arise; and there can be costs associated with meeting tight deadlines. However, here we believe in transparency and in honest communication.Should any associated project costs change, such as work to be provided by a subcontractor, we always let our clients know immediately. Our priority is to keep you informed.
Author's alterations – Flexibility
Things change; in any project some deadlines and details become moving targets. Our policy on author's alterations is to be as accommodating as we can, without breaking the bank. In the project-planning phase, we will agree to a set number of changes to include in the overall project costs. Once we move beyond that agreement, an hourly fee will be arranged.Design revisions – Quality
Following the initial project-planning meeting, we present first draft(s) as necessary, for discussion and dissection. We then work with clients to choose key elements from the draft(s) to craft the look for the finished product. The draft(s) include a range of options (e.g. classic vs. fashion-forward) and always reflect the organization's style guide (if available) and project constraints. Throughout the project there is room to make design revisions: ultimately we want you to be happy with the result.Employees – Life
Baden Powell said, "Be prepared." Here, this is our goal, we try to be prepared for any circumstance, and by keeping everyone in the team on the same page—if one person goes down, someone else can always pick up the ball. That said, you can't prepare for everything—we are only human. We are committed to our work, and will do our utmost to accommodate employee absences by being flexible, adjusting the schedule, and making up for lost time wherever we can.Proofreading – Accuracy
Getting the right turn of phrase is important, no matter what your language. We work with several experienced translators and proofreaders with expertise in a range of subjects, to ensure that the finished document means the same thing in English, French, German, or any other language. As per the needs set out by the project plan, we arrange to send documents out for professional translation and proofreading ensuring results that meet your language guidelines.
Confidentiality – Trust
Your information goes no further, period. All data are stored on a secure server in a secure location in our offices, and only those involved directly with the project ever have access to it. Beyond that, we can't tell you; we'd have to kill you.Back up – Security
Throughout every project, we back-up our project data to a secure in-house server, to CD, and to a secure external location. Once each project is complete, we provide you with a complete digital package for your archives. A tip: do not secure your data on CDs or DVDs for more than a few years for these really do disintegrate with time!top
